This hit home hard. As an instructor I struggle with design thinking as a concept all the time. Students see it and latch onto it, asking details about when it's the right time to transition between steps, and if it's okay to start thinking of solutions while they're still researching.

I've yet to come up with an effective way to have them learn about "design thinking" the popular concept while steering them away from its rigidity in practice.
