I agree so deeply with your article in general, but I am little unsure about what you mean by this. I agree that the "everyone is a designer" statement is not a great thing for the domain, I do also worry that often there's a lot of elitism among a certain class of designers.

I also think it's important to consider the differences between software, hardware, fashion, furniture, etc. Not sll of these domains have equal heart and soul (if by that we mean history, tradition, and technique).

Could you elaborate a little on this point? I want to act on what you have written here in my teachings and in my work as a software designer and co-founder of a design studio, but to do that effectively I need to dig in deeper to some of these more obscure notes.
